Protective Resources designs and specifies comprehensive electronic security systems including video surveillance (CCTV/IP), access control, intrusion detection, intercom, and mass notification systems. Our designs integrate multiple subsystems into a cohesive platform that provides effective security coverage while remaining manageable for security operations staff.

Systems We Design

Legacy Migrations and System Upgrades

Much of our work involves systems that already exist: aging analog video plants moving to IP, orphaned access control platforms whose manufacturers have disappeared, and facilities accumulated through mergers running four incompatible systems. We plan migrations that preserve usable infrastructure, phase spending across budget cycles, and keep facilities protected during the transition — because a rip-and-replace quote from an integrator is rarely the only option.

Design with Cybersecurity in Mind

Modern physical security systems are networked IT systems, and they are increasingly attacked as such. Our designs address network segmentation, device hardening, firmware and password management, and coordination with client IT standards — considerations many traditional security designs still ignore.

Because we sell no hardware and install nothing, our specifications are performance-based and vendor-neutral. Deliverables follow our Basis of Design and RFP development process, with project management available through commissioning.
